When I first met my husband I knew that he was different. I know that sounds like such a cliche but it's the truth. Being around him was like a breath of fresh air. He made me realize that I had been suffocating myself with the other guys that I had relationships with in the past. My husband and I were different in many ways but alike in all the ways that mattered to the both of us.
We just had this connection unlike anything that we had ever experienced before. Now, 15 years later our connection seems to only have gotten stronger and I believe that over the years some activities that we have incorporated in our marriage have helped our connection stay strong. Check out what those activities are below and let me know your thoughts. And as always, Keep It Hot!
Walk Together (Enjoy Nature)
My husband and I for years have enjoyed the activity of walking, especially on nature trails. Sometimes we talk about anything that comes to mind and sometimes we don't have to say a word. But, at the end of every walk we feel peaceful and happy and a little more connected with each other.
Put God First Together
Loving God together is the most important aspect of marriage. When you put God in the driving seat of your lives and marriage then you love each other better, have a more positive outlook on life, and strive for the good in everything.
Volunteer Your Time Together
My husband and I believe that helping people is a requirement of life that should never be avoided. It makes us feel good and the reward back to us is that we know that God is pleased with our actions.
Cook and Eat (Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) Together
We all have busy lives but I think that it is important to eat at least one meal everyday together. Cooking and eating together opens up opportunities to share your thoughts and helps you work together as a team. It's an every day way of getting to know each other better.
Staying healthy and working towards common goals of fitness is a great way to enjoy each others company. When couples are committed to exercising and eating healthier it helps in preventing body insecurities and sickness while increasing positivity and sexual awareness in your marriage.
