The Path Without Faith

My husband and I drove this weekend to East Texas to pick up our son (#3 of My Amazing Seven) from college for the Summer Break. It’s a few hours from us and it’s a route that we are still not totally familiar with, so we used the assistance of our GPS (Global Positioning System). But, a funny thing happened on the way. The GPS decided to shut down in the middle of our trip. For a few moments we had no idea where we were going and how long it was going to take us to get there.

Bringing Negativity To Your Marriage

I have not always been this person that lives life every day trying to make it better. At one time I was at a dark place in my life where all I could see was confusion and chaos. Unwilling to forgive past hurts that I experienced as a child, I allowed anger and bitterness to fester inside of my heart.

"I Let Myself Go"

When I first met my husband I was a size 6. When my husband and I got married I was a size 8. Two years later I was a size 10. Flash forward five years later and I was a size 14. That was my breaking point. I was more than double the size I use to be and I could hardly recognize my body anymore. How could I have LET MYSELF GO? At some point I forgot about being healthy, forgot about keeping myself

Once Upon A Time

There is a new series on ABC called “Once Upon a Time” and I must admit that I quite enjoy it.  It’s a fictional story that begins in a Fairy Tale Realm where all of our childhood stories live.  Due to a curse by the wicked witch, all who lived in the Realm now live a life in another time with no recognition of every living anywhere else or knowing anyone from their past.  What makes this story even more interesting is that they live in Present Day Time in a cursed town called Storybrook that nobody can leave without losing their life.

Agree To Disagree

You and your spouse will not always see everything eye to eye. We as people have the ability to look at one situation or scenario and come out with more than one view or take on it. When this happens (unless your marriage has serious concerns such as infidelity, neglect or abuse, belief in God, etc,.) I have found over the years its best to Agree to Disagree. When you and your spouse do this it says, “I respect what you are saying but I view it another way.” Nothing wrong with that.
